    Description

    Scarce Antique Sandwich Glass Cup Plate, LR - 61, #2, Thick Flint Glass, c. 1828-1835. This scarce Sandwich Glass cup plate is Lee-Rose #61 and it was one of the earliest cup plates manufactured at the Sandwich Glass factory. This cup plate has an attractive checkered design in the center with sheafs of wheat and diamonds around the perimeter and a scalloped rim. This thick early flint glass cup plate is offered here with no reserve. SIZE: The cup plate is 1/2" H. x 3 3/8" Dia.. CONDITION: The condition is very good with some nicks and roughness to the rim. There are the usual imperfections found in early flint glass such as sand, bubbles, inclusions and striations.
